Getting started with ncs baseball

The NCS baseball program is offered for ages 5U to 18U. Players are classified into age groups based on their age on May 1. Rules for extra hitters

In NCS baseball, extra hitters are allowed, but only under certain conditions:

The manager must declare an extra hitter before the game.
Teams must keep a full 10-player lineup for at least three innings.
An additional hitter can’t be removed from the lineup during the game unless it is an injury.

If the last batter in the lineup hits the ball, it will clear the bases. If the runner does not put the ball in play, it is out. A team may also bring in players of the same age group as their own. All players in attendance must bat before any “pick-up” player can enter the game.

NCS baseball playoff games are seven innings. Each team can take ten minutes of infield practice, and the home team will use the third base dugout. NCS baseball also has a thirty-out pitch limit, meaning a pitcher can only throw a certain number of pitches. A violation of these limits will result in the forfeiture of the game.

Extra hitters can be used in NCS games if they are not pitchers. Different hitters are allowed on any team, but they can’t pitch more than two divisions above or below their own.
